SANTURCE STREET ART COMPETITION, PUERTO RICO

THE VIBRANT ENERGY OF THE STREETS WITH ITS SYMBOLOGY ON THEIR DAILY PROBLEMS AND ON THEIR OUTLOOK ON LIFE explodes during the annual International Competition of Street Art done mostly in the Cerra St in Santurce, PR. Many other examples can be found in other areas of the Metropolitan Area, like the streets adyacent to the University of Puerto Rico.

Street Art explores fears, injustices, anguish, prejudices, hate, anger, love and other feelings and emotions and serves to canalise those intense qualia and acts as strong social criticism...in many cases, eye openers for many.  Expression that is a thermometer of social unrest.

We will divide it in 3 parts due to the large amount of paintings.  Enjoy!  Any feedback is most welcome.

LUZ MINERVA IN THE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE

PRIOR TO OUR OLD CHELSEA TOWN HALL ART EXPOSITION WE TRAVELLED AROUND THE BEAUTIFUL ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE.  DURING THIS TIME OF THE YEAR THE LIGHT IS SLANTED AND THE AIR FRESH.  AS OUR DAYS WERE BATHED IN SUNSHINE AND A SPRINKLE OF CLOUDS, IT WAS PERFECT FOR STROLLING ALONG THE EMPTY DIRT ROADS IN THE ENGLISH "WILDERNESS" AND TAKING PICTURES.  ENCOUNTERING THE FAUNA AND FLORA OF THIS AREA WAS A REAL JOY.  SEEMINGLY ORDINARY IN WRITTEN WORDS IT WAS EXTRAORDINARY IN EXPERIENCE.
